- Tipping Point
Tipping Point is a British television game show which began airing on ITV on 2 July 2012, and is presented by Ben Shepard. Contestants answer general knowledge questions to win counters which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine.
Because the game show involves money the target audience and the contestants would be older aged people and not kids.

- Pointless
Pointless is a British quiz show produced by Endemol UK for the BBC, hosted by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman. Contestants on the programme, who play in teams of two, are tasked with finding the most obscure answers to general knowledge questions based on pre-conducted public surveys of 100 people from the UK. A correct answer which none of the 100 people in the survey gave is deemed a "pointless" answer. In the main game, a pointless answer adds £250 to the jackpot; in the final a pointless answer is needed to win the jackpot.
This game show like others requires general knowledge which a 30+ male or female would usually have gained and known in their time and experience.

- Countdown
Countdown has occupied a tea-time broadcast slot since its inception. Currently an episode lasts around 45 minutes including advertising breaks. During the normal series, the winner of each game returns for the next day's show. A player who wins eight games is declared an "octochamp" and retires until the series finals. At the end of the series, the eight players with most wins (or the highest total score in the event of a tie) are invited back to compete in the series finals. They are seeded in a knockout tournament, with the first seed playing the eighth seed, the second playing the seventh, and so on. The winner of this knockout, which culminates in the Grand Final, becomes the series champion.
Shows which require knowledge, intelligence and good skill often require people of age 30 and above. Although most of the contestants in the game show are men this could just be because women are not interested. However, the game show has women assistants or people who check the answers and the literacy countdown answers are mainly checked by women.
