6. The Hypodermic Needle Theory is the idea that media audiences passively believe and act upon what they read, see or hear in the media. To what extent do you think this is true or untrue? Give examples to support your answer.
I think this statement is true because the media gives people information on the news or celebrity juice or things that other people do. People who read this instantly believe that it is trendy or in style of this generation and they believe that they must do it as well. For example when 'the ice bucket challenge' was all over the internet and on media sites. People poured iced water on themselves and donated money to charity then nominated someone else to do so as well. This went on like a chain and by some time everyone was doing it.

Inside Out Trailer-
Inside Out is about little people inside your mind/brain. The movie focuses on a specific person and shows the story of what happens inside her mind. The girl is called Riley and her family has recently moved home and she has not settled in yet. The people in a persons mind are 5 different emotions and they are: Happiness/Joy, Anger, Fear, Disgust, Sadness. The different emotions also treasure Riley's memories. Sadness touches a core memory, Which is very important, therefore Riley's emotions start to go out of control. I like this movie because there is a lot going on and its very creative and fun to watch I hope there will be a sequel.
The Twilight Saga -
The twilight saga is a sequel of 5 other movies and a book series by Stephenie Meyer. The movie is about a girl called Bella Swan who moved in with her dad in a place she did not like, at first. She met a boy called Edward Cullen and soon finds out he is a vampire but is not afraid. She develops strong feelings for him and doesn't want to go back home as much as she did before. Despite the fact that she loves him Edward is strong and could easily kill her however unlike most vampires his family of vampires only drink animal blood. I like this movie because of Edward and Bellas' Relationship.
The Maze Runner-
The maze runner is a science fiction about a science project that is using teenagers and children as "lab rats" People are sent to a maze after their memory is wiped and the place they are sent into has a huge maze which no one has ever gotten out of. The children (all boys) try to work together to live, get out and mostly, Survive. Thomas who is the last boy to come out of the box which they sent all the kids in. They soon find out that grievers (monsters from that place) come out the maze to kill them. I like this movie because it creates tension and is very believable even though it is a fiction.

1.
- Artist- The Weekend
- Producer- Nathan Scherrer
- Director- Grant Singer
- Production company- Anonymous Content
- Record Label- XO/Republic
- The target audience could be teenagers because it is mostly listened to by teenagers.
- The story is about Abel Tesfaye (The Weekend) talking about his passionate affair with a girl that is no good for him, he however is enjoying it too much to stop.
- The camera angels are sometimes - front and back but mostly front because he is performing on a stage in the video/ The main special effect is that towards the end of the music video the artist is on fire for most of the ending.
- The Video mainly focuses on the artist because as I said before, he is performing on a stage to many people so the main prop at the moment is a mike and tables and drinks. There is no special make up and the lighting is not very bright.
- The song is successful because of the artists previous work which was popular. Also the song is quite catchy because of the chorus and it is easy to understand and to sing along to.
-
Where are Ü Now
1.
- Artist- Skrillex and Diplo With Justin Bieber
- Producer-Nathan Scherrer

2.
- Record Label-Atlantic/Mad Decent/OWSLA
3.
- The Target audience is teenagers 12-early twenties because the song is quite upbeat.
4.
- Story unknown
5.
- The camera angels are at different positions from the side for the extras and from the front for the artist (Justin Bieber) The special effects are fast forwarded actions and animated paintings on the character.
6.
- The props are colours, sheets of black paper on the wall and a long table,
- The lighting is effective because even though the main character (artist) is in a black room it is lighted very well as if there were windows in the room.
- The make up is also very effective because the video mainly focuses on Justin Bieber being drawn on and towards the end he is covered with paint that is running down his face and that is very effective because from close it looks very realistic.
7.
- The song is effective because, again, the artist is very successful and even if you didn't like the artist you would still like the song because it is upbeat and catchy.
